Ram 2500The 2014 Ram Heavy Duty pickups are coming soon! In addition to the already first-class interior and best-in-class Cummins engine, the newest model year of the Ram Heavy Duty series will come with an available best-in-class V8 engine as well as a new segment-exclusive air suspension. Get ready for these models to go on sale soon here at Crestview Chrysler in Regina, and read on for a closer look at what they will offer!

Loaded Powertrains

Most truck drivers will be more than content with the loaded power from the Ram Heavy Duty’s standard 5.7L HEMI V8, which returns this year with an impressive 383 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. Others may want to check out the all-new 6.4L HEMI V8, with a best-in-class 410 hp in addition to its powerful 429 lb-ft of torque. Of course, the coveted 6.7L Cummins inline-six engine makes its return again this year, producing up to 385 hp and a best-in-class 850 lb-ft of torque when equipped with the capabilities of the High-Output package.

Ready to Get the Job Done

While there’s no doubt that the powertrains on the Ram Heavy Duty can get the job done, most buyers will want some more direct performance numbers—and they won’t be disappointed here. The Ram truck delivers a best-in-class Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) of 17,055 kilograms with the Ram 3500’s 11.8-inch rear axle along with the Cummins High-Output 6.7L inline-six engine. If you want ¾ tonnes of towing, the Ram 2500 can deliver it with best-in-class towing up to 8,078 kilograms. Drivers and businesses who simply need second-to-none towing capabilities can get it from the 3500 model, which delivers up to 16,608 kilograms of towing capacity and a payload of up to 3.320 kilograms.

New Air Suspension

The all-new high-tech air suspension on the Ram 2500 is the only one of its kind in its class. It helps stabilize big loads by replacing the traditional coil spring suspension system with a sophisticated rear air suspension that is able to increase or decrease air pressure based on exactly how much weight it measures on the truck. This new technology will help to provide a safer, more secure load and a more comfortable ride for drivers and passengers.
