The New 2014 1500

The 1500 once again brings home industry awards for Ram.

Canada’s longest lasting line of pickups has added yet again to their impressive collection of accolades, as they have the honor of taking home 3 more prestigious industry awards. The 2014 Ram 1500 and 2500 were awarded as the 2014 Canadian Truck King in their respective categories, and they also brought home the Truck of Texas award for a second consecutive year. The 2013 Ram 3500 brought in the third award, as it was given the 2013 King of Beasts award by PickupTrucks.com. These significant awards are the result of Canada’s toughest truck continuing its pace staying steps ahead of the competition.

Adding to the Accolades

The industry’s most respected experts and organizations continue to recognize the Ram lineup for its award-winning technologies and exceptional performance. Here’s a quick peek at the latest accolades added to the collection:

  • Canadian Truck King Challenge Winner: All eyes watched the grueling, multi-day competition between class leading competitors in a series of everyday challenges in which the Ram lineup literally shut out popular 2014 model pickups such as Toyota, Chevy, Ford, and GMC. Among the Ram awards for the day,  the 2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel was crowned 2014 Canadian Truck King Challenge winner while the 2014 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty with Cummins Turbo Diesel power claimed victory in the 3/4 ton category.
  • Truck of Texas Winner: The 2014 Ram 1500 was named “Truck of Texas” for a second consecutive year as determined by the annual Texas Auto Writers Association’s Texas Truck Rodeo. Proudly dominating the competition in head-to-head evaluations such as on-and-off road and trailer pulling, the Ram was joined by Jeep and Dodge brands in taking home 15 out of the 24 awards for its design, utility, value, and technology.
  • 2013 King of Beasts Winner: The prestigious PickupTrucks.com set out to find out which Heavy Duty truck is indeed the “King of Beasts” between the two most powerful pickup trucks, the 2013 Ram 3500 Crew Cab and the 2013 Ford F-450 SuperCrew 4×4. A fierce battle took place as the two powerful pickups took on 2500 kilometers of driving with extreme loads while testing areas such as acceleration, braking, fuel efficiency, and overall comfort. In the end, the Ram trampled its competition!
