Trims and Pricing
The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee is set to be available in two trim levels: The Summit and the Trailhawk. There has not currently been any information about pricing released for either trim, but we speculate that it won’t vary too much from that of the 2016 model. We’ll keep you updated as information becomes available.
Powertrains and MPG
While there has not been any confirmed word from Jeep about what the available powertrain options will be or any say from the EPA about estimate fuel economy, there are some speculations about what the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee will offer in this department.
Some sources have suggested that Jeep will make it so that you can choose the powertrain option that best suits your needs, at least on the Summit trim. The rumored engine options include a 3.6L V6, a 5.7L HEMI V8, and a 3.0L EcoDiesel with no specific torque, horsepower, or mileage information speculation. The latter three listed, was recognized for improving MPG for Ram engines in 2014 by an auto magazine. We can assume that the manufacture looks for the similar result – boast-worthy MPG.
Not too much information has been released in regards to how we can expect the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee to perform, but we do have the scoop on a few of the features that will be available and contribute to the overall performance of the Jeep Grand Cherokee. These features include:
- Quadra-Drive II four-wheel drive with rear electronic limited-slip differential
- 8.4-inch touchscreen with off-road pages
- Standard 18-inch wheels
- Upgraded Quadra-Lift air suspension
- Full complement of underbody armor with skid plates
The combination of all of these available elements leaves us with the impression that the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee will have a lot to offer for off-roading fanatics and will be able to stand up to some of the harsher weather conditions. This comes as no surprise as Jeep vehicles are well known for their ability to tackle tough terrains without a second thought.
Comfort and Convenience
The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee plans to approach the interior design of the vehicle with a luxury feel and look. By pairing elegantly designed interior styling with the highest available technology and features, the Jeep Grand Cherokee plans to provide a luxurious ride for drivers and their passengers. Currently, only a handful of features have been released and confirmed by Jeep and they are:
- Laguna leather-wrapped interior package with wrapped doors, console, glove box, and seats
- Redesigned front fascia with LED fog lamps
- 20-inch polished aluminum wheel design with a Satin Clear Coat
- Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist
- LaneSense Lane Departure Warning System with Lane Keep Assist
Safety features have yet to be released for the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but with what we know so far we can make some pretty educated guesses on what kind of safety and security features will be available. With a lot of off-road potential, we suspect that there will be plenty of stability assistance systems to ensure that the Jeep Grand Cherokee is able to stay in control regardless of the terrain or weather conditions. We’re also pretty sure that there will also be plenty of driver-assistance features available as well to ensure that drivers are getting the most out of their driving experience. Let it be noted that this is all speculative and we’ll update periodically as more information becomes available.
