2016 Jeep Patriot redRegina and Moose Jaw drivers will be pleased to hear that the 2017 Jeep Compass and the 2017 Jeep Patriot will both be produced, although a brand-new model will debut to replace them in the coming year. We’ve just received news of the new model, and it seems completely capable of combining everything you love about the Compass and the Patriot. Keep reading to learn more about the upcoming replacement model.

The Patriot and Compass Will Continue into 2017

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has announced that the 2017 Jeep Patriot and the 2017 Jeep Compass will be the last two models of their line. Replacing them will be a shared successor, but Jeep are expected to build a stockpile of Patriots and Compasses to meet consumer demand until that new model arrives.

The Compatriots, as they have become collectively known, have remained attractive models for crossover buyers, but recent advances and shifts have highlighted the benefits of creating a new model that unites their shared benefits.

What Can You Expect from the Compatriot Replacement?

News that Compass and Patriot models will soon no longer see the light of day might be discouraging, but there is a whole new model coming to Regina and Moose Jaw, and we’ve just caught sight of it for a second time. The vehicle might have been camouflaged, with only a few pictures shown, but we can already find plenty to love about this upcoming crossover.

In terms of styling and design, it appears to be a smaller version of Jeep’s flagship model, the commanding Grand Cherokee. The headlights, grille, and taillights are all reminiscent of that vehicle, as is its basic shape, and the corporate steering wheel and 8.4-inch touchscreen are both present and accounted for.

In terms of power, drivers should expect the new 2.0L Hurricane four-cylinder, although a less powerful and more efficient 2.4L is expected as an option. As for transmission, each model is expected to carry FCA’s cutting-edge nine-speed automatic system as standard.
